It's Okay: Week #2

It's okay...that I sometimes hit start on the dryer for a second third time because I am too lazy to take the clothes out and fold them.  I will be the first in line when they come out with a dryer that folds the clothes for you.

It's okay...that my bi-weekly paycheck from my (part-time) job isn't even enough to pay the car payment.  If I am honest, I mostly work for the socialization that it provides for myself and my Moose.  The money is obviously a nice side bonus, although, clearly, is not used for things like car and mortgage payments.

It's okay...that 90% of the songs on my iPod are from more than 15 - 20 years ago.  Let's face it, the music of today is nothing to brag about.  That and I'm old.

What?!  The doors aren't cool anymore?!  Next thing I know, you will
be trying to convince me that Bruce Springsteen is no longer popular.  Ha!

It's okay...that we currently have 6 brand new Halloween costumes in our house.  5 of them were purchases made before I decided to let go (Letting Go: Halloween Costume).

It's okay...along those same lines, that we got 4 boxes from UPS today.  I never claimed to not have an online shopping addiction.

It's okay...that everytime that my mom visits, we run out of hangers in our closet because it is the only time that all of the laundry is clean, ironed, and hung up.  It is a nice problem to have.

It's okay...that although Moose's current age is my favorite one yet, I still sometimes miss her being a baby.  I look at these pictures from a year ago and it makes me sad that the time has gone by so quickly.

  2. I'm the same way with my music. It's all either super old, or it's from Glee.

All of the music that I listen to and the movies that I watch are from at least 20 years ago! I just wanted to stop by and let you know that you have been nominated for the Sunshine Award! http://www.chaosandcrackers.com/2013/10/a-little-bit-of-sunshine.html

  4. I have been buying a lot online lately, not a good habit! I miss V being a baby really badly lately. I miss those baby snuggles so much. Oh and I have hit restart on the dryer too many times to count.

  5. I've totally been addicted to buying things online lately, too. Especially clothing and items for my girls. It's bad. Have you heard of Instagram shops? I'm completely obsessed! I think our daughters are close in age, and I also love this stage she's in right now, too. Toddlerhood is such a cute time. Thanks for linking up again Becky, I'm really starting to love your blog!

  6. Thanks, Nancy! Glad I am not alone in listening to old music. And to think that I used to make fun of my parents for the same thing! ;)

  7. It totally sucks!! I just worry that Myra is going to grow up singing Bob Dylan while all of the other kids are rocking out to what is new (and crappy)!

hope the move is going well!

  9. Online shopping is waaay too easy. In addition to being addicted to the actual shopping part, I love getting packages at my door. It is like Christmas every day! :)

  10. Thank you so much, Kera! That is so sweet of you! My daughter will be 2 in December, so she is only slighter younger than your little girl. Such a wonderful age. I just want to pause time!

I have never heard of Instagram Shops, but I have to check them out. Do you just get there off of Instagram? I am actually new to the whole Instagram thing.

  11. It IS a wonderful age, I just love it.

I just recently came across IG shops...it's basically people selling clothing and other items from their IG account. So you just have to find them and follow them like you would follow any other person! It was weird to me at first too, but now I'm hooked. Kind of like eBay I guess, except you don't bid, it's usually the first person who leaves their email {most shops use PayPal} gets the item. Super cheap prices, too! I've scored a ton of great deals so far, and now I'm going to open up my own shop to sell bows I make and some girls clothes. My username is @nuggetsoflove :)
